On 27 October, Director of the National Library Roman Motulsky visited Bobruisk, the Belarusian cultural capital – 2017.
The city cinema Tovarishch hosted a presentation and donation of the facsimile edition The Book Heritage of Francysk Skaryna to institutions of culture and education of Mogilev Region. The event was part of the national celebrations of the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book-printing.
The international scientific and publishing project on the reconstruction of the Belarusian printing pioneer’s heritage, implemented by the National Library of Belarus and the BelVEB Bank, has finished this year and become a highlight of the jubilee events in Belarus and abroad.
The event was attended by Tatiana Gorbacheva, the head of Ideology Department of Bobruisk City Executive Committee; directors and representatives of libraries of Mogilev Region, teachers, students, poets from Bobruisk, users of Bobruisk libraries and many others.
