Other news

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus has distributed a country video about Belarus in the life of UNESCO, BelTA informs.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of UNESCO (which was actually celebrated the previous year), the organization's secretariat is launching the “What's the Difference?” Information campaign. The main goal is to visually demonstrate the role of UNESCO in the life of the member states of the organization.

Around the world, National Commissions for UNESCO will share thematic videos on 4 November on the most outstanding examples of UNESCO's contribution to national culture, science and education objectives. The initiative is timed to coincide with the entry into force of the organization's charter (November 4, 1946).

On September 6, 2018, the National Library of Belarus was awarded a diploma by the National Commission of the Republic of Belarus for UNESCO.

Belarus also did not stand aside. “In our video, we discover the fascinating world of Belarus at UNESCO, talk about objects included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, traditional rites that have become part of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List, associated schools. Immerse yourself with us in this atmosphere of beauty and inspiration and become part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of UNESCO, invites us MFA.

The ministry also congratulates everyone who is working hard to promote the Belarusian lore on the UNESCO platforms, glorify the Belarusian culture, its unique beauty and unique traditional rituals.
