This year, declared the Year of Quality in Belarus, is rich in significant events for our country. One of the most iconic is the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
Along with numerous events dedicated to this date, the National library of Belarus held a charity event of donating books to the Minsk City Cadet School, a training center for future defenders of the Homeland.
On May 2, employees of the NLB Fund acquisition department transferred more than 150 copies to the school library. books of fiction, educational, educational and methodical literature, collected works of Belarusian and Russian writers. A special place was occupied by art publications about the Great Patriotic War, reflecting all the hardships of that time.
In an atmosphere of mutual respect, camaraderie and support, the school prepares comprehensively developed individuals, paying great attention to both physical and moral, patriotic education of the younger generation. In her speech of thanks, Deputy Director for Educational Work Irina Sokol noted that cadets are private guests of the main library of the country and stressed the importance of cooperation between the NLB and the cadet school in the field of intellectual and civic-patriotic education.
Such a high-quality replenishment of the library of the Minsk City Cadet School, consistent with its goals and objectives, will contribute to the comprehensive enrichment of students and once again affirm the slogan of cadets: Knowledge! Honor! Homeland!
