The 1st of September is an exciting holiday for schoolchildren, their parents and teachers. On this day, children return to classes after long summer vacations and start learning things again.

Some children had this year’s first lesson outside the classroom spending the day at the country’s main library.

Students of gymnasium No. 1 named after F. Skaryna in Minsk had the first lesson at the educational technology hall. The schoolchildren were told about famous Belarusians and the country's sports achievements. They also learned more about the natural wealth, world-famous enterprises, architectural monuments and other attractions of Belarus. At the end the children checked their knowledge during a quiz.

A visit to the observation deck was a pleasant continuation of the lesson. The young guests admired the bird’s-eye view of Minsk and launched balloons into the blue September sky.
