On August 2nd, the library hosted participants of the Commonwealth Warrior international military-professional skills competition, which has been widely covered in the CIS information space.
The military men from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia made a familiarizing tour to the library including a visit to the Book Museum and the observation deck. During the informative event the guests appreciated the unusual architecture and interior design, learned the history of the Belarusian book-printing and admired the panorama of the city from the top of one of the tallest buildings in Minsk.
According to the organizers of the competition, the National Library is not only a visiting card of the Republic of Belarus, but also a huge multi-functional center which combines high technologies, cutting-edge design and unique architecture.
At the end of the meeting the guests – military men from Kazakhstan – presented a souvenir for the Book Museum.
