There are more than one thousand editions which are used in Belarusian educational system. The object of the Belarusian educational system is to teach a person to live in information environment and cultivate personal moral and spiritual values.
National Textbooks should be of high quality, clear, laconic, and informative. It is important to develop as well electronic textbooks and electronic libraries to provide reader with the access to information resources. The National Library of Belarus which cooperates with all libraries of the world is the major producer of Belarusian e-library.
The exposition presents over 200 titles of textbooks and school-books published in 2007 by Belarusian state publishing houses.
The exhibition acquaint visitors with products by the biggest Belarusian state publishing houses such as "Narodnaja Asveta", "Vyshejshaja Shkola", "Adukatsyja I Vyhavannie" and others. They published annually hundreds of titles of books, educational and methodological literature for secondary schools, lyceums, gymnasiums, colleges, and academies, as well as teach-yourself books (English, French, and German languages). These publishing houses are winners of republican contests "Textbook of the Year" and "Art of a Book". Their production is of the highest quality and excellent design.
