From March 14б 2008, at the National Library of Belarus (atrium, second floor) is open a book exhibition timed to the Day of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.
Constitution of the Republic of Belarus was written in 1994, then modified and supplemented, and adopted by national referendums on November 24, 1996, and October 17, 2004. Constitution of the Republic of Belarus proclaims a democratic state where the human rights are the superior value and the main objective of the society and the state.
Public health is a priority guideline of Belarusian national policy. The president of the Republic of Belarus declared 2008 the Year of the Health.
The exhibition totals over 100 materials:
- comments to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus;
- materials revealing the activity of public health administration and establishments in Belarus after the Revolution 1917;
- reference books on Belarusian legislation in the field of public health;
- issues of the organizing and management of public health establishments, statistics, and analysis;
- materials of national scientific and practical conferences, scientific congresses, and so on.
