The art project of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank “Modernity of arts” opens on February, 14th in the gallery “Panorama”.

For twenty years of work, the department of artistic and pedagogical education of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank has prepared and released a large number of professional teachers-artists. The teacher-artist is first of all the artist. Creativity, diversity of opinions, ideas... For them, as for their students, the most important requirement is an aspiration to a creative "statement”. Their teaching is based on the fruitfulness and creative success of their own, as well as the demand among students, colleagues, experts, fans and spectators of their work.

The concept of the department is to preserve the traditions and rules of classical fine arts and, at the same time, move forward, get involved into the rhythm of city life and search for something new. All these ideas are reflected in the works of art displayed at the exhibition. The range of creative possibilities of teachers in the department of art is very diverse: painting, drawing, arts and crafts, fashion design and graphic design. Most of the authors are members of the national creative unions, such as the Belarusian Union of Artists, the Belarusian Union of Designers, the Union of Folk Art Masters of Belarus.

The event was attended by head of the gallery and exhibition activities section of the National Library of Belarus Olga Davidovich; acting head of the department of artistic and pedagogical education of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University, member of the Belarusian Union of Designers, Professor Paul Kashevsky; the BSPU teacher, member of the Belarusian Union of Artists and the Studio of martial artists of the Ministry of Defense, Professor Giorgi Loika; senior lecturer in artistic and pedagogical education of Belarusian State Pedagogical University, member of the Belarusian Union of artists Leonid Danelia, and teacher of the Minsk City Institute for Education Development, member of the Belarusian Union of Artists, Professor Liubov Romanenko.

From February 15th, the exhibition is paid, the entrance fee is equal to the ticket price of the Observation deck.
