A.S. Pushkin Mozyr Central District Library of the Gomel Region continues the local history events. It has provided the Virtual Reading Room of the National Library of Belarus with several resources about the region.

You can find out about Mozyr, known since the XII century, and its inhabitants via the resource "Mozyr, the City Where I Live." It includes historical essays and legends, stories of street names, information about the headmen of the city, soldiers and heroes of the Great Patriotic War, honorary citizens and famous people, as well as museums, monuments of architecture and nature, enterprises and organizations. An interactive map in the "Mozyr Territory" resource will help you find information about the history and current state of the settlements of the region. The resource “Literature with a Provincial Registration” will tell the users about writers and poets who were born there or dedicated their literary pieces to the Mozyr region; the Art Gallery "Enchanted by the Mother Land" gives information about local artists and photographers.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
