The presentation of Vladimir Korotkevich’s book “King Stakh's Wild Hunt” takes place on November 25 at 5 p.m. at the gallery Labyrinth of the National Library of Belarus.


Before celebrating the 80th birthday of Belarusian classic writer Vladimir Korotkevich, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus in cooperation with the Belarusian Fund of Culture and the National Library of Belarus presents a new edition of the famous and adored by readers Vladimir Korotkevich’s story “King Stakh's Wild Hunt” published in the Belarusian, Russian, Ukrainian and English languages.

The presentation edition “King Stakh's Wild Hunt” is to be an original printed monument to Vladimir Korotkevich.

Within the framework of the book presentation an exhibition of different editions of the story “King Stakh's Wild Hunt” from the collections of the National Library of Belarus and a book exhibition "The world is lavish. The world shall reiterate me…” timed to the 80th birthday of Vladimir Korotkevich will open.

Representatives of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Fund of Culture, the National Library of Belarus, Minsk city museums, publishing houses and libraries and diplomatic corps will participate in the event.

Guests of the event will see a performance of One Actor’s Belarusian Poetic Theater “Znich” (director and art director – Galina Dyagileva).

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.
