On April 27th at the gallery “Labyrinth” took place the opening ceremony of the republican exhibition of Soviet posters of 1941–1945 “The Way to the Victory” dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory in the Great Patriotic War.


The exhibition presents 70 original posters of different size, covering front-line, rear, occupation and partisan themes and published between 1941 and1945. Also there are posters dedicated to rebuilding of destroyed Minsk and Belarusian partisan movement.

At the opening ceremony Director of the National Library of Belarus R.S. Motulsky welcomed the guests. Participants of the event: senior lecturer of the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus, Lieutenant Colonel S.G. Revtovich; Deputy Director of the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War History V.E. Kazachyonok; senior researcher of the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War History G.V. Pavlovskaya; veteran of the Great Patriotic War, partisan, warrior of the 1st Belarusian Front V.V. Parkhimchik and writer and ex- front-line soldier О.О. Savitsky.

Within the framework of the exhibition opening, a presentation of a multimedia edition of the National Library of Belarus “Lets’ greet those great years...” took place.

During the event musicians Alexander Artemyev, the laureate of international contests, Ivan Mozheyko, the student of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, and Natalya Zhivolkovskaya, the worker of the National Library of Belarus performed musical compositions.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
