On 27–28 April, the young librarians’ forum "The library in the format of youth” with participation of Academic Secretary of the National Library of Belarus Alyess Susha took place in Mogilev.
The forum was prepared by Mogilev Centralized System of State Public Libraries and was held in K. Marx Central Town Library.
The purpose of the forum is to develop and to consolidate library professionals’ potential through the promotion of library activity and the assistance to young librarians.
Young library employees from Belarus and Russia and heads and members of professional unions took part in the forum.
Anton Purnik, representative of Russian State Library for Young Adults (Moscow) presented a set of lectures concerning the development of intellectual leisure infrastructure for young adults and the use of readers in libraries. Alyess Susha, Academic Secretary of the National Library of Belarus, delivered a report on research work of young adults in Belarusian libraries. Reports on libraries’ design works in Minsk, Moscow, Tula, Mogilev and other towns were of a particular interest to participants
The forum revealed the open-mindedness of young Belarusian and Russian librarians and their interest in innovative changes to modern librarianship.
