The seminar “The electronic resources ProQuest and Emerald for information support of scientific and practical activity” was held in the library on 14 June.
The event was prepared by the National Library of Belarus jointly with the company ProQuest and publishing house Emerald – the biggest providers of scientific digital information.
At the seminar Anna Trofimova, the ProQuest regional representative, introduced the attendees to the company’s products and services, presented the algorithms of the world’s biggest universal full-text collection of theses, and expounded how to submit to the database papers of Belarusian scientists.
Elena Eronina, the director of electronic resources department of the subscription agency KONEK, presented the Emerald thematic collections on management, economy, finances and engineering, and also introduced the attendees to the new interactive service – the training cases library.
The seminar was attended by library and information center specialists, researchers, university teachers, young scientists, graduate and postgraduate students, and other users of digital information resources.
