On May 25, 2012, the National Library of Belarus took part in the events, devoted to the 1150th anniversary of Polotsk.
The National Library of Belarus gave its Skaryna’s book to the Museum of Belarusian Book-printing which is located in Polotsk, the homeland of our first printer. It was the most remarkable part of the celebrations. The Book of Job (Prague, 1517) was brought from Minsk to Polotsk for one day.
The National Library of Belarus is the only keeper in the country of valuable treasures of Belarusian culture – the books of Belarusian first printer Skaryna, published in Prague in 1517–1518.
