The 20th annual International Scientific and Technical Conference "Development of Informatization and the State System of Scientific and Technical Information" was held on November 18.

The topics of the event covered a wide range of issues on scientific and methodological support of informatization and information society, creation and implementation of automated systems of scientific and technical information, development of information resources of scientific and technical libraries, and automated systems of information support of scientific, scientific and technical and innovation activities.

Ms Kuzminich, Deputy Director, Director for Information Resources, and Mr Brychkouski, Head of the Library and Information Technologies Section, represented the National Library of Belarus.

Their reports covered the role and place of electronic information resources of libraries in the system of encyclopaedic knowledge about Belarus (T. Kuzminich, Z. Piatrouskaja, E. Malinouskaja "Electronic Information Resources of Libraries in the System of Encyclopaedic Knowledge about Belarus "); the problem of preservation of information objects in a rapidly developing digital environment (V. Brychkouski, "Problems and Prospects of Organising Long-Term Digital Storage of Electronic Information Resources").

From January 17, a literary and visual exhibition is on show in the circular corridor of the 2nd floor. The exhibition is dedicated to the winners of the prize For Spiritual Revival, a special prize of the president of the Republic of Belarus to people of culture and art, as well as a special prize of the president of the Republic of Belarus Belarusian Sports Olympus for 2021.
