On January, 27th, at 4 p.m., a presentation of the book by Anatoly Fedoruk The Old Manors of the Grodno Region will be held at the gallery “Labyrinth” (on the 3rd floor).


The book The Old Manors of the Grodno Region of Professor Anatoly Fedoruk contains illustrations and data on manors of the XVI – early XX centuries which were located in the territory of the Berastovica, Volkovyssk, Voronovo, Grodno, Dyatlovo, Zelva and Ivye areas of the Grodno Region.

Guests of the event will get acquainted with the history of old manors and the features of architectural constructions, parks and water systems of described areas, and will learn more about the nobiliary culture and its artistic and family values. The author will tell about the current state of manors and importance of their preservation and new functional use.

We present the updated virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region": on the 205th anniversary of the composer's birth

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

On April 25, the National Library of Belarus hosted the opening of the exhibition "Dreams about Belarus", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 85th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of Belarus Vasily Sharangovich.
