On April 16th, the National Library hosted a solemn opening of the ХI International Bibliological Conference “Book culture of Belarus of the XI – early XX centuries”.
The book lectures, launched in 1998, have become one of the major events uniting book researchers and specialists from different countries.
Director of the National Library of Belarus, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor Roman Motulsky, Deputy Minister of Culture of Belarus Vasiliy Chernik, First Deputy Minister of Information of Belarus Igor Lucky, rector of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts, Candidate of Art History, Associate Professor Mikhail Borozna made welcome speeches.
The conference has gathered scientists from Belarus, Lithuania, Poland and Russia. During two days they will be consider results of the latest research in history of Belarusian manuscripts and printed books of the XI – early XX centuries.
