On February 16, the National Library of Belarus, together with the Belarusian Republican Bar Association, organized and held a monthly meeting with a lawyer on the topic of information and legal education of citizens titled «Right to alimony: procedure for collection and payment».

The lawyer of the Minsk Regional Bar Association delivered a lecture Irina Nesterovich.

At the meeting, the primary topics surrounding the grounds and process for paying and recovering alimony were thoroughly examined. These issues included paying alimony for parents who are disabled and in need of support as well as for a spouse who is in need of assistance.

The event features a thematic exhibition of literature from the collections of the National Library of Belarus, presented in the Legal Information Reading Room (No 207b).

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
