On March 25th, an exhibition of Marina Kapilova’s lithographs and decorative sculpture opens at the National Library.


The exposition will present thirty lithographs and thirty decorative ornaments made of metal.

Last years lithograph and sculpture are the priority directions in Marina Kapilova’s creativity. Each of genres in which the artist works is presented by a powerful set of works of art.

Decorative ornaments of metal will make spectators admire the master’s talent. Professional painters will be interested in Kapilova’s thematic cycles of lithographs dedicated to antique mythology, works inspired by the Bible and series of romantic fantasies.

The event takes place at 4 p.m. in the gallery “Atrium” (on the 3rd floor).

We present the updated virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region": on the 205th anniversary of the composer's birth

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."

On April 25, the National Library of Belarus hosted the opening of the exhibition "Dreams about Belarus", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 85th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of Belarus Vasily Sharangovich.
