Other news

The Library hosted an online seminar organized for employees of public libraries of the Hrodna region on June 17. Our colleagues were presented with a range of licensed electronic resources offered for information and library services for various categories of users.

Databases of global manufacturers on universal topics, equipped with a convenient and multifunctional user device, contain high-quality educational, artistic, popular science and leisure publications and are available for all libraries in our country through the Virtual Reading Room of the National Library.

Ms Maryja Damouskaja, Head of the Corporate Interaction Department section made an overview and presentation of the resources. The meeting participants noted that the Virtual Reading Room has become an effective platform for promoting their own generated databases in the Internet space for public libraries.

Today's seminar was the final in a series of methodological online events organized by the Virtual Reading Room for public libraries in different regions of Belarus. During the events, regional public libraries showed the increased interest in the use of electronic information resources in modern conditions.

The opening of the test access to the resources that have most interested our colleagues from the regions through the Virtual Reading Room of the National Library will continue the cooperation with public libraries.

The Virtual Reading Room is open for cooperation with all libraries and information centres in our country regarding subscription to licensed databases and training to work with them.

We will be eager to meet new partners!
