On the eve of the tragic date of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the staff of the Excursion and Methodological Work Department conducted a series of on-site virtual excursions from "The Outstanding People of the Motherlandcycle on the topic "We remember your pain and losses, Belarus..." for the pupils of the "Bryhantsina" recreation camp.

The excursionists made a small virtual trip around the National Library of Belarus, get acquainted with the main facts from the life of the Belarusian front-line writers A. Kuliashov, P. Panchanka, I. Shamiakin and M. Tank, saw the exhibition of books from our collections, copies of handwritten combat sheets of a military couple. In addition, the pupils were asked to complete interactive tasks, compose puzzles with images of wartime propaganda posters, and read aloud military-themed poems.

We also invite you to take part in the excursions of "The Outstanding People of the Motherland" cycle dedicated to the life and work of A. Kuliashov, M. Tank, P. Panchanka, I. Shamiakin, V. Bykau, Ja. Kupala, Ja. Kolas, M. Bahdanovich, K. Krapiva, Ja. Maur, M. Zaretski, U. Karatkievich, F. Bahushevich, M. Chagall, F. Skaryna, Princess Rahneda, St. Euphrosyne of Polack, and excursions with theatre elements "Touching upon a Fairy Tale."

Applications are accepted from 10.00 to 18.00 from Monday to Saturday.

July 8 marks the 160th anniversary of the birth of Maria Magdalena Radziwill (1861–1945), an activist of the Belarusian cultural movement, an educator, a philanthropist who supported the opening of educational institutions, hospitals, churches, orphanages, publication of books and newspapers in the Belarusian language.
