We invite you to a series of interactive lectures and concerts "The musical heritage of Belarus in the space of modern culture".
At interactive lectures and concerts, you can hear the music of Belarusian composers performed by the musical chapel of the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
We will get acquainted with the results of modern research in the field of Belarusian musical local lore. The focus is on the musical heritage of the baroque, classicism, romanticism periods, various genres of academic musical art, as well as the reception of the national singing tradition, both folklore and ecclesiastical, in the works of modern Belarusian composers.
The concerts will be held using scenography, video recordings and theatrical musical performance, and all those present will be able to take part in mastering samples of the national musical heritage.
Organizers: the musical chapel of the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Department of Musical and Performing Arts of the Institute of Art History, Ethnography and Folklore, the scientific and creative association "Facultatis" of the Belarusian Union of Musical Figures.
The artistic and scientific director of the project is Galina Pavlovna Tsmyg, PhD in Art History.

We are waiting for everyone at the next concert "Belaya Golubonka" (The White Dove"), where the works of Belarusian composers will be presented in the form of a musical and theatrical show. The focus is on theatricalization as a performing technique. Listeners will be able to learn singing material and join the performance. The meeting will take place on March 28 at 18:30.An exhibition of literature from the collections of the National Library of Belarus has been prepared on this topic, presented in the musical and audiovisual documents reading room (room 305).
