The National Library of Belarus publishes annually the collection of scientific articles Здабыткі: дакументальныя помнікі на Беларусі (Achievements: documentary monuments in Belarus) and invites researches of book culture to cooperate.


It is planned to issue the 20th release.

The new issue of the scientific collection, dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book printing, will feature materials on the history of manuscripts and printed books, the heritage of Francysk Skaryna and his followers, the problems of study, preservation and use of the documentary heritage of Belarus, archives, library science, bibliography science and cultural studies prepared by Belarusian and foreign researchers of book culture.

The collection is a multidisciplinary reviewed scientific edition. It is included in the Catalog of scientific editions of the Republic of Belarus for publishing the results of theses research in educational sciences (library science and bibliography), historical sciences (documentation science, archive science, historiography, source study and methods of historical research) and cultural studies.

Articles dedicated to the documentary monuments and history of the Belarusian book culture and having a scientific character and novelty of results are accepted for publishing. They must be recommended by the department (laboratory) of a research (educational) institution, or reviewed by an expert in the field. The editors reserve the right to select materials and send them for further review. The application must include information about the author (name, place of employment, position, academic degree and title, telephone number, e-mail) and the title of the article.

Articles are accepted in electronic format (e-mail: kireeva@nlb.by  or sapega@nlb.by). The volume of an article is up to 10 pages of the A4 format, space 1.5, font Times New Roman, body size 14 pt. The working languages are Belarusian, Russian and English. The article is processed according to the Instruction on processing of theses, author’s abstracts and publications on topic of thesis. The list of references is processed according to requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission and is placed at the end of the text, references are numerated according to the rules of citation, index numbers in the text are marked inside the square brackets, e.g.: [1], [2].

The summary in Belarusian, Russian and English must be 100–150 words. Illustrations must be sent in attached files, formats tiff, jpeg, gif, bmp, png, with the resolution no less than 300 dpi.

Applications and articles for publication should be sent no later than 30 April, 2017.
