The 8th international conference "Preservation of Library Collections: Science and Practice" was held at the Russian National Library on 11–12 November.
During the conference, experts from different countries discussed online current issues related to the preservation of library archives and museum documents, shared their experience in scientific research, practical restoration and implementation of training programmes on the preservation of library collections, and outlined ways for further cooperation.
Ms Dziana Muratava, Head of the Department of Restoration and Conservation of Library Documents, took part in the event on behalf of the National Library of Belarus with her report "The Role of the Restorer in Digitization of Library Documents". The participants were introduced to the experience of the National Library of Belarus in organizing preservation activities for documents undergoing digitization.
