The Children's Room hosted "A Little Souvenir" art lesson on 13 November, where participants made magnets.

An unconventional material for a creative handicraft is multi-coloured plastic bottle caps.

Using coloured paper blanks and highlighting details with bright marker pens, the children managed to turn plastic caps into fun and amusing characters.

A piece of magnetic tape was the final element in creating a souvenir magnet that could be an original gift for friends.

Document Restoration: Conservatism and Innovation – 2024

On April 8-12 the VII International Scientific and Practical Seminar "Document Restoration: Conservatism and Innovation - 2024" was held at the Russian State Library. This is the largest professional forum, the main task of which is to exchange experience and improve the skills of restorers and curators of museum, library and archival collections from different countries.

April 18, 2024 marks the 210th anniversary of the birth of Yevstafiy Tyshkevich, a famous archaeologist, historian, ethnographer, local historian and museologist. His research has raised whole layers of the historical past, he was one of the first Belarusian authors of local lore. To mark the anniversary of the scientist, an exhibition "Connoisseur of Belarusian Antiquities" has been organized in the Book Museum of the National Library of Belarus.
