On March 2nd, the exhibition of Vladimir Akulov "Moments of life" will be opened in the Library.
The famous Belarusian avant-garde artist Vladimir Akulov is a successor to the traditions of Kazimir Malevich and Marc Chagall. His works are particularly relevant today, as they are inherent in the picturesque dynamics of our rapidly changing times, expressive colors, unexpected shapes and non-trivial solutions.
Since 1985, most major personal exhibitions of Vladimir Akulov have taken place at the National Center for Contemporary Art, the National Museum of History and Culture, the Museum of Modern Art, the Embassy of the Republic of Ecuador in Belarus, the "Garden Ring" Museum in Moscow, as well as in the city of Waterloo in Belgium. His works are represented not only in museums, but also in private collections in Belarus, Russia, Belgium, Poland, Germany, Italy, Ukraine.
The offered exhibition features the works of large-scale thematic cycles "Masks and Images", "War", "Great men", "Animalistic cycle", "Football" etc. Landscapes, still lives, portraits of historical figures, self-portraits, as well as animalistic images of unusual animals, for example, with human eyes. The experiment, associativity and bright impressions are waiting for the viewer! Here’s the "unreal" reality of Vladimir Akulov that you can touch and enter in. The exhibition will run till 1 May, 2017.
The event starts at 17.00, in the gallery “Labyrinth” (3rd floor).
The date of end of the exhibition may be changed.
