The writers of the three countries came together for a good deed. The library affected by the fire in the village of Klimovka in the Gomel region received new books.
Last October fire destroyed more than 80% of the book collection. Writers from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine brought more than a thousand gift sets. They included publications by contemporary authors, reference books, encyclopedias, fiction and non-fiction books for children.
Earlier in the framework of the campaign "Reading as Information and Knowledge Space: a Charity Campaign", the National Library of Belarus donated 600 copies of fiction, popular science, educational, reference and other literature to the Klimovsky Village Library to restore the fund.
