In 2019, the National Library of Belarus is running the Reading as Information and Knowledge Space Charity Campaign.

The main goal is to replenish the collections of Belarusian libraries (institutions of secondary and specialized secondary education) with fiction, popular science, educational, methodical, reference, encyclopedic and other publications that have cultural significance for domestic education.

The campaign will involve the Presidential Library, the Republican Scientific Medical Library, the BSU Fundamental Library, BSEU and BSUKI libraries, the country’s regional libraries, and other institutions and organizations.

The Pachatkovaja Shkola Publishing House, as well as BookLine Group and BeltimeKniga Companies have joined the campaign.

We invite everyone who cares to join the noble cause of promoting the book and reading!

Break the Silence on Violence against Women, a thematic exhibition timed to  the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, is open in the Official Documents Service Department (room 297), from November 21, 2019,  to January 9, 2010.

New Year’s Theatrical Performances


The time of New Year’s miracles and magic is getting closer and closer. On the eve of Christmas and New Year holidays, the National Library of Belarus is pleased to invite young viewers and their parents to fairytale performances.

The Partisan Archives: a multimedia project


The first issue of the Partisan Archives series will be presented at the library, on November 19. The documentary publication Operational and Intelligence Reports of the Belarusian Headquarters of the Partisan Movement: 1944 (in Russian: Оперативные и разведывательные сводки Белорусского штаба партизанского движения: 1944 год) is a joint multimedia project of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus. The publication is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders.
