The exhibition "Great Egyptian Mummies" will be opened in the Library on October 1.
The most enigmatic civilization among the great variety of states and cities, which appeared in the sands of time and then faded, is Ancient Egypt. Its monuments puzzle scientists and excite the imagination of ordinary people. Sphinxes, that stare into the unknown for us distance, pyramids, that inexplicably appeared, authentic religion and silent messengers of centuries – ancient mummies of Egypt.
The exposition "Great Egyptian Mummies" offers an unusual trip to the country of pyramids. The dimensional models of cultural and historical heritage of Ancient Egypt allow to touch the mysterious and enchanting art of the Egyptians, to experience the atmosphere of one of the wonders of the world – the pyramids of Egypt.
The exhibition will open the secrets of the mysterious sphinx and the majestic tombs of pharaohs, tell a beautiful legend about the beauty Nefertiti, and introduce the ideas of the ancient Egyptians about mummification and the afterlife. Visitors will see the busts and mummy cases of pharaohs Akhenaten and Tutankhamun, statues of the gods Anubis and Thoth, statues and mummies, etc.
The expedition to the realm of mummies is a great experience for a wide range of viewers.
The exhibition "The Great Egyptian Mummies" is in the room 307 (3rd floor) until November 30, 2015: Mon – Fri 10.00–21.00, Sat – Sun 10.00–18.00.
November 6 – 10.00–18.00, November 7 – the day off.
