The Library hosted a musical evening with the Belarusian composer Alina Biezienson, dedicated to her anniversary on July 21.

The event took place in the form of a dialogue. Ms Biezienson talked about her music, work with students, preparation to concerts at the Philharmonic, shared her memories of studying in the class of composer Andrej Mdzivani.

During the event, both instrumental and vocal works of the composer were performed, including "After the Rain", "The Song of the Heart" for cymbals and piano, suite for violin and piano "The Cycle of Water", adaptation of the Belarusian folk song "A Dove Flew Over the Sea" for cymbals and piano, the song "Guardian Angel" to the verses by E. Babouka, "I see with my heart and soul" to the verses by V. Babich and others.

Cymbalist Darja Bakhanko, violinists Sofja Tkachenka and Daniela Kuksiekava, pianist Bahdan Babich, young vocalist Maryjana Babich took part in the concert. Bard Aliena Maslouskaja performed Alina Biezienson'a romances “The Soul” to the verses of Alina Lehastajeva and “Inextinguishable Light” to the verses of an unknown author . At the end of the evening, Alina Chyzhyk performed the song «For Peace».

Colleagues and friends congratulated Ms Alina Biezienson on her anniversary, and the parents of her students expressed their gratitude.

The guests also enjoyed "The Road of Light" exhibition dedicated to the composer.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
