From 14 May to 4 June, an exhibition "Under the parental care" timed to the International Family Day (15 May) runs in the National Library of Belarus (2nd floor, circular corridor).
Family is a crucial social institution of modern society, the basis of the formation of a healthy nation. Thanks to the family, a state develops and strengthens and the welfare of the people increases.
The exhibition offered by the National Library of Belarus represents about 200 documents, including reference editions and encyclopedias, monographs, albums, booklets.
The first section of the exhibition "Society in miniature" demonstrates books in which the family is regarded as a basic element of society, the keeper of human values, culture and historical continuity of generations.
The materials in the section "Family: holy truths” contribute the understanding of the Christian foundations of a family and its strengthening. Authors of books advocate for returning of high moral principles and Christian virtue.
Trying to create a reliable, robust and happy family many young people before marriage are interested in art to be together. The section "The weather in the house!" contains publications on the psychology of family relations, compatibility between husband and wife, the reconciliation of family conflicts and preservation of marriage.
To bring up a healthy, active and self-confident child means to give him a successful start in life. Books in the section "Smart parents – happy kids!” teach adults how to find mutual understanding with the child, develop his physical and intellectual potential, organize the living space and training "special needs" children, prepare unforgettable holidays for children, save the trust-based relations with teenagers.
The exhibition will be interesting to a wide range of readers and visitors of the Library.
