An exhibition "To Sing by Heart" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian poetess Eudakia Los is held from March 1 to May 16 in the Belarusian Literature reading room (room 205).

The writer went down the history of the Belarusian literature of the twentieth century bravely, openly and honestly. She was a poetess, subtly feeling the beauty and melodiousness of her native word, various experiences of the human heart.

Eudakia Los (1929–1977) belongs to the generation of those whose childhood was taken away by the war, who grew up in the difficult post-war years. She wrote many poems to this particular page of life. But there are other topics that she discovered: the expectation of happiness, the joy of motherhood, the desire to love and be loved. Writing how to breathe was her rule, and therefore the poetess defended her right to express her personal, painful feelings.

The exhibition consists of three sections and more than 100 documents.

The exposition also represents the translations of Los’ works into the foreign languages, her own translations and her personal diaries. There are also biographic documents and publications about the poetess.

The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours. Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
