On March 28, 2008, in the Visual Materials Reading Room is open an exhibition “The World of Colorful Harmony” dedicated to the 155-th anniversary of Vincent Van Gogh (1853–1890), the Dutch artist, one of the establishers of post-impressionism.

Thanks to his talent, studious work, and an original view on the world the artist created real masterpieces which went down in the history of the world art. Works by Vincent Van Gogh are remarkable for combination of bright colours, daring experiments, and expressiveness.

The exhibition presents books, albums, articles, postcards, and reproductions of works by the eminent artist. We invite to the exhibition everyone who is interested in Vincent Van Gogh’s life and career.

The exhibition is open from March 28, 2008, to May 11, 2008.
