From June 01, 2007 to June 30, 2007, in the Belarusian Literature Reading Room is open a book exhibition "The Master of Fiction" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Mikhail Gerchik, the writer, journalist and translator.
Mikhail Naumovich Gerchik is the author of several works: novels, stories, short stories and essays. Master of prose writes in the Belarusian and Russian languages, and translates his own works and works by other authors. The novels and stories by Mikhail Gerchik reveal his intention to show the spirit of the time and the atmosphere of the social community, about which writes the author. Furthermore, Mikhail Gerchik wrote several children books which main subject is formation of teenager’s character.
The exposition includes collected works in 2 volumes, particular editions, publications in periodicals, translations, and materials on the author’s life and creative work.
