The greatest people of the world

The greatest people of the world
Other news

From February 5, 2009, to March 18, 2009, in the National Library of Belarus (3rd floor, circular hall) is open a book exhibition “The greatest people of the world”.

Visitors of the exhibition can make a fascinating journey to different countries and different epochs, past and present, to learn about the most eminent persons of the world. There are presented bibliographical portraits of outstanding figures from Belarus and foreign countries – politicians, economists, scientists, cultural workers, educators, military people…

Power and society treated them in different ways in different epochs: some of them were famous, others, on the contrary, dishonored and persecuted. However, all of them went down in the humanity’s history, and the contemporaries have a right to know about these greatest people of the world.

At the exposition are displayed about 500 publications.
