On June 14th – 30th, in the Belarusian literature reading room (room 205) there runs the exhibition “Profundity and thoroughness” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Belarusian literary critic Fyodor Kuleshov (1913–1993).


The exposition includes three sections: “The writer and his books”, “Talent and humanity”, “Researcher, pedagogue and writer. Books, brochures and articles on display amply represent the talented researcher’s creative work. Among 90 editions presented at the exhibition there are the author’s fundamental work Лекции по истории русской литературы конца ХIХ – начала ХХ в. / Lectures on the History of Russian Literature of the late 19th – early 20th centuries (pt. 1, 1976; pt. 2, 1980), monographs on writing of L. Tolstoy, I. Melezh, М. Lynkov, N. Nekrasov, I. Kuprin etc. A number of literary-critical essays with the analysis of works of Y. Bryl, I. Shamyakin. I. Naumenko, P. Pestrak, B. Sachenko, I. Chigrinov and other writers are the result of a fruitful research work of the scientist in the field of modern Belarusian literature.

Documents presented in the last exhibition section will acquaint visitors with the milestones of the talented scientist’s life and creative career. On the shelves there are encyclopedias, reference editions and numerous publications devoted to Fyodor Kuleshov's creativity which authors are M. Mushinsky, I. Shteyner, S. Bukchin, V. Kovalenko, A. Stanyuta etc.
