Every year since 1960, the results of the work of Belarusian publishers are traditionally summed up at the contest "The Art of Book". Its founder is the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus. The goal is to develop the art of Belarusian books, increase its competitiveness, artistic and printing culture. This is a kind of creative report of publishers, artists, and printmakers who created the best samples of printed products over the past year.
30 publishing houses of various forms of ownership took part in the 62nd National Competition “The Art of Book”. 150 publications were submitted. The main category of the contest was traditionally "Triumph". In addition, the winners were determined in the following thematic categories: "LIT–format", "Textbook of the new century", "Photo vision", "We grow together with the book", "Golden Tablets", "ART Book", "Science and Knowledge", "Spirituality"; special categories: "Commonwealth", "In the mirror of time", "The truth of memory", "Belarus remembers" and personal – "Mastership".
The highest award of the contest in the "Triumph" category was awarded to the publishing house "Belarus" for the book "Genocide of the Belarusian people. Death Camps: information and analytical materials and documents", published under the general editorship of Doctor of Law Andrey Shved. The publishing house was awarded the badge of honor – the symbol of "A Big Golden Folio" and a diploma named after Francisc Skaryna. The winners of all other categories were awarded with the “A Small Golden Folio” badge of honor and special diplomas. Among the favorites is the publishing house "Belarus", which has won 11 nominations. Among them – a diploma of the First degree in the category "Art Book" for the album edition dedicated to the centenary of the National Library of Belarus.
Lilia Busarova was recognized as the best illustrator for illustrations to Edi Ognetsvet's book "Moj Ryzhy Bim", Anatoly Dribas was recognized as the best photo artist for books "Natsionalnaia Bibllioteka Belarusi. 100 let" and "Belorusskaia kuchnia".
The National Library of Belarus cordially congratulates the winners and the recipients of the national Art of Books Award and cordially welcomes everyone to become familiar with Belarus's top books in 2022.
The exhibition runs from March 28 to October 26, 2023 in the ringed gallery on the 3rd floor.

Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
