On November, 27th, at 5 p.m., a solemn opening of Vladimir Rynkevich’s watercolor exhibition “A string of feelings” will be held at the gallery “Panorama”.


The exhibition presents 30 watercolors which can be named the artist’s creative searches for two last years. The majority of works have never left the workshop. The artist suggests spectators to become his co-authors, to join a virtual creation of figurative compositions, to get pleasure in the sensation of color harmony and in search of dynamic linearly-plastic movements and unique textures.

Vladimir Rynkevich is the representative of the Vitebsk school of watercolor. His exhibitions annually make an impression upon spectators at home and abroad. The artist’s works are on display in numerous art museums and galleries of Belarus, in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, in art galleries of Russia, Poland and Lithuania.

From November, 28th, entrance to the exhibition is paid. The entrance fee is equal to that of the Observation platform.

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
