New 78 photos have been added to the photo album of the 14th International Bibliological Conference, which is available on the library’s site. The photography inform about the major event in the country’s cultural life, documenting it.

The annual International Bibliological Conference traditionally gathers together book researchers from around the world. Scientists from Belarus, Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Ukraine took part in the conference this year. The conference is attended by book scholars, teachers, historians, philologists, cultural historians and philosophers, who present the results of the latest research on the history of manuscript and printed book heritage.

Let us recall that the first bibliological conference was held in 1998. It's nice that, in 20 years, some organizers and participants of the first conference took part in this year’s event: Tatiana Roshchina, Lyudmila Kiryukhina, Galina Kireeva, Lyudmila Silnova, Georgy Galenchenko, Larissa Dovnar, Valery Gerasimov, Tamara Samoyliuk, Alexander Stefanovich, Elena Titovets, Svetlana Leontyeva, Zoya Yaroshevich etc.

The event provided an opportunity to share the results of scientific research and achievements, contributed to establishing scientific dialogue and cooperation between researchers from different countries, assisted in the development of optimally effective approaches to resolving urgent problems and, most importantly, inspired participants to implement new ideas and projects that emerged during the conference.

The photo album is available to view here.
