On 23 March, a grand event "Under the sky of the Holy Greece...", timed to the Independence Day of the Hellenic Republic, was held at the National Library of Belarus.


The event was organized by Belarusian Public Association of the Greeks "Peloponnese", Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus.

The program of the event contained the presentation of a book-illustrative exhibition which presents information about Greece, its history, its social and cultural life.

There are demonstrated the exhibition of Greek artist Pavel Dimitriadi and a photo exhibition of portraits of heroes who participated in the Greek movement for independence (1821–1833) in the Mobile Gallery of the National Library of Belarus .

The participants were Chairman of the Belarusian Public Association of the Greeks "Peloponnese" Rafael Delyanov, Deputy Director for Research and Publishing Activities of the National Library of Belarus Alexander Susha, chief specialist of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Eduard Shvaiko, and representatives of the Greek diaspora and creative intellectuals.

A concert program was prepared for the guests of the event. It contains performances of winners and participants of national festivals and competitions Arthur Mikhailov, Igor Gritsuc, Mark Voytko, Kseniya Chalopulo, Polina Mikhailova and dance ensembles "Belyya krylya" (White Wings) (led by honorable Poland cultural worker Victor Baranovich), "Skavysh" (led by Yekaterina Topotskaya) and "Alkestida" (led by Daniel Mikhailidi).

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
