On February 17, 2008, in the conference-hall of National Library of Belarus took place the opening of a youth conference “UN: the Belarusian Model 2008”.
In the conference participated 350 students from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Turkey, Nigeria, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Lithuania.
During the conference were discussed the following issues: peaceful settlement of conflicts, skills of dialogue, acquaintance of young people with the modern world economy, policy, and ecology. The event was organized by the Republican public association “Belarusian Association of UNESCO Clubs”.
