The first republican competition “The Best Public Legal Information Center” is planned to be held in 2018.
The purpose of the competition is strengthening the role of public libraries in the formation of citizens’ legal culture, spreading the ideas of citizenship and patriotism, and also promoting creative initiative among employees of public legal information centers (PLIC), within the framework of their professional activity.
The competition organizers are: the National Center of Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the National Library of Belarus, Национальная библиотека Беларусиthe Belarusian Republican Union of Lawyers and the Belarusian Library Association.
The open competition will be held in one stage, from 1 February to 12 October, 2018, in the following nominations:
- The Best PLIC at the Regional Library;
- The Best PLIC at the Central Regional (City) Library;
- The Best PLIC at the City (Urban Village) Library;
- The Best PLIC at the Children’s Library;
- The Best PLIC at the Rural Library.
