On 9 September, the presentation of Eurasian Patent Information System took place as part of events held by the Intergovernmental Council on issues for Protection of Industrial Property and the Joint working commission of countries which are the members of the Cooperation Agreement on Suppression of the Law Violations in the Intellectual Property.


The presentation was held on the initiative of the Eurasian Patent Organization, the Library Council of Belarus for Information Interaction, the National Library of Belarus and the National Center of Intellectual Property.

At the event the Eurasian Patent Organization, the National Center of Intellectual Property and the National Library of Belarus signed a tripartite agreement on provision of free access to the Eurasian Patent Information System for both library readers and university students and faculties of universities through the NLB virtual reading room.

President of the Eurasian Patent Department Aleksandr Grigoryev, director of the World Intellectual Property Organization Michael Swantner, director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky, general director of the National Center of Intellectual Property Leonid Voronetsky, and head of the library of the Belarusian Technological University Tatyana Shaykovskaya delivered welcoming speeches for participants.
