On February 8, within the framework of the 26th Minsk International Book Fair, the National Library of Belarus held a presentation "Belarus in the Information Space".
The library presented a thematic website, which contains links to the most authoritative Internet resources and electronic collections created by the institutions of education, science and culture of Belarus. The resource is presented in three languages: Belarusian, Russian, English.
Head of the Corporate Interaction Department of the National Library of Belarus Marina Rudakovskaya noted that the purpose of the resource is not only to present a vivid informational palette of modern Belarus, but mainly to help navigate the numerous network resources, to obtain authoritative and reliable information about our country through a single access point.
In the framework of the international exhibition the stand of the National Library of Belarus was visited by the Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Karlyukevich, Deputy Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus Igor Buzovsky, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Zhevnyak, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International and cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy, chairman of the Union of Writers of Belarus Nikolai Cherginets, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for the Press and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Vladimir Grigoriev, CIS Secretary Viktor Guminsky, Director of the Presidential Library of Belarus Sergei Kvachan, winner of the President of the Republic of Belarus Prize for Spiritual Revival, Belarusian historian and collector Vladimir Likhodedov, representatives of Mass media funds, guests and residents of the capital.
Hurry to see! Up to the last day of the book festival you can see the exposition "Belarusian Primer: Four Centuries of History" at the stand of the National Library of Belarus. Visitors to the exhibition are given the opportunity to find out what were the manuals for the initial literacy training at different times, from the 16th century to the present.
