The Academic Library of the University of Latvia has donated scientific publications to the National Library of Belarus.
The books and journals donated to the library are about Latvia’s history, culture, economy, politics and nature. The fundamental encyclopedia "Latvia" is a significant project prepared and published in 2018 for the 100th anniversary of the country's independence. A special issue of the university journal "Alma mater", focused on the history and modern life of the Academic Library, will be interesting to library specialists.
The books were handed over by the director of the Belarusian Information Center of the Academic Library, Linda Eltermane. The guest got acquainted with the architecture and activities of the National Library of Belarus and visited the Book Museum.
During the visit, negotiations were held on further cooperation and joint cultural projects.
