On July 13, 2009, a French crew headed by Raphael Zarka, the artist well-known in French artistic circle, laureate of Richard Fund, arrived in National Library of Belarus to start shooting a film about the Library.
In 2009, it is 500 years since the book “Divine Proportion”, the eminent mathematical treatise by Luca Pacioli was first published in 1509 in Venice. As an illustration, there was a picture of a rhombicuboctahedron performed by Leonardo Da Vinci.
The building of National Library of Belarus is the biggest and the most amazing rhombicuboctahedron in the world. The peculiar architecture of the Library building caught the attention of Raphael Zarka; thus he decided to make a documentary film dedicated to National Library of Belarus.
