An exhibition "Graphic poetry" of graphics and watercolors by artist Leonid Marchenko will open in the library on 3 October.
Heaven transparency and low gray clouds, a blooming lilac and flaming tops of autumn trees, birch groves and the Naroch lakes ...The artist Leonid Marchenko reflects the primordial beauty of the land, the involvement of a person in its life, the call of historical memory and the search for inner harmony.
The talent of the Master manifests in various fields of fine arts, but most fully and vividly in etching, watercolor and pencil drawing. A subtle watercolorist created unusually clear and complex colors with a slight balancing of shades: a sunset, evening blue, straw stacks, a white church, the mirror of water. The harmony of human and nature and their union is read in the artist’s works.
The graphics of Leonid Marchenko looks amazing too: it is complex and at the same time subtle and poetic. And, of course, etching, which is a favorite technique of the Master who created graceful, silvery, light-bearing images. He is the author of several series of brilliant etchings devoted to the nature of Belarus and filled with tenderness and anxious feeling for the native land. The exhibition presents works from the series The Land of Naroch”, "My Land of Lakes", "The Land and the People" and others.
