The 9th Scientific and Practical Conference "Electronic Culture" on the topic "Reality and virtuality in the pandemic" was held at the National Library of Belarus on May 4.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus. Mr Valery Hramada, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and Mr Raman Matulski, Director General of the National Library of Belarus Raman Matulski addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

Heads and specialists of leading institutions of culture, science, education, representatives of IT companies of our country attended the conference. Among the participating organizations were the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, the Museum of Belarusian Book Printing (Polack), the Republican Scientific and Technical Library, the Belarusian State Technological University, the Joint Institute for Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belarusian Cloud Technologies JLLC, National Center for Electronic Services and others.

It is pleasant to note that the last conference went beyond Belarus – a representative of the State Institute of Art and Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, General Director of Data Express LLC (Moscow) joined the event.

Within the framework of the event, 26 reports were presented. The specialists discussed current issues of the development of innovative technologies in the field of culture, exchanged experience in the introduction of new technologies and the provision of electronic services, including in the context of a pandemic.
