Test access to the electronic information resource “Oxford Bibliographies” is extended for users of the National Library and organizations-partners in the Virtual reading room.


The Oxford University Press’ database ”Oxford Bibliographies” presents peer-reviewed scientific articles analyzing publications of world’s leading publishers in 5 000 subject areas. The modules on international law, international relations, politics, philosophy, history, regional geography, religious studies, health, American and English literature, history of art are on test access.

All documents are in English.

Test access hs been extended until 20 December, 2016.

We present the updated virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region": on the 205th anniversary of the composer's birth

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

On April 25, the National Library of Belarus hosted the opening of the exhibition "Dreams about Belarus", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 85th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of Belarus Vasily Sharangovich.
