On February 17th in National Library of Belarus was held a seminar-training “Electronic information resources: access opportunities via the virtual reading room of National Library of Belarus in 2010”.
The event was organized by National Library of Belarus within the framework of the Virtual reading room service and maintenance program in cooperation with the Council of libraries of Belarus on information interaction.
More than 70 Belarusian librarians, scientists and professors participated in the seminar-training.
At the seminar the ways of development of the Virtual reading room in 2010 were considered and the newest electronic information resources of the Virtual reading room were presented. Within the framework of the event there was a training held for employees of partner organizations during which participants got familiarized with user service and performance of queries on the basis of the electronic information resources of the Virtual reading room.
Tatiana Kuzminich, the deputy director of National Library of Belarus for information resources and Alla Sheremeteva, the head of the Information center of National Library of Belarus, delivered their opening speeches. Workers of National Library of Belarus delivered their reports and presentations.
